A law firm based in Birmingham, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney or Of Counsel with 2-10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have a federal clerkship background, distinguished academic achievements, superior writing and analytical skills, and experience in Electronic Discovery and federal court writing.

 

Duties:

  • Engage in complex commercial litigation cases with a national scope.
  • Provide legal analysis, research, and writing support for ongoing litigation matters.
  • Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, hearings, trials, and appeals.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to develop case strategies and arguments.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex legal issues.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Manage discovery processes, including Electronic Discovery, document review, and production.
  • Represent clients in federal court proceedings.
  • Maintain communication with clients and provide updates on case developments.
  • Stay current on relevant legal developments and case law.

 

Requirements:

  • Federal clerkship background preferred.
  • Distinguished academic achievements.
  • Superior writing and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience in Electronic Discovery and federal court writing highly desirable.
  • Valid law license required.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Valid law license.

 

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex litigation matters effectively.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Discovery tools and processes.
