This role will involve advising clients on tax implications and other accounting matters related to unclaimed property compliance and consulting. The ideal candidate will have experience in tax, financial statement auditing, or forensic accounting and hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance. A CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a . jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (EA) is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word, is required, and experience with Power BI, Alteryx, and other software is preferred. The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $125,000, depending on qualifications, experience, skills, and geography. Job Duties: - Conduct research and analyze complex issues related to unclaimed property compliance and consulting. - Obtain and manipulate data from clients to prepare annual escheat returns. - Draft memorandums, opinions, and other documentation on escheat issues. - Represent clients in unclaimed property audits and voluntary disclosures. - Utilize various software and maintain working knowledge of GL systems. - Project manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously. - Train and supervise SALT Experienced Associates, Associates, and Interns. - Deliver performance feedback and complete evaluations for team members. - Build and maintain relationships with internal and client personnel. - Participate in learning and executing technology enhancements for the unclaimed property group. - Update CRM entries and manage client expectations. - Actively involved in relevant trade organizations and public speaking events. - Assist with the development of consultative selling strategies. - Collaborate with Core Tax and Audit partners, directors, and senior managers to provide SALT expertise to clients. - Stay up-to-date on relevant unclaimed property statutory, regulatory, and case law changes.
