Job Overview:

The Trusts And Estates Associate Attorney will provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients in trusts and estates matters. The role involves drafting and reviewing legal documents, conducting legal research, and collaborating with clients and colleagues to ensure effective case handling.

Duties:

• Draft and review various legal documents, including wills and various trusts.
• Possesses strong drafting skills.
• Utilize estate administration experience where applicable.
• Conduct legal research to stay informed about changes in trusts and estates laws and regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties to ensure efficient handling of cases.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state of New York.
• 3-7 years of experience practicing in trusts and estates law.
• In-depth knowledge of New York state laws about trusts and estates.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Education:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of New York.

Skills:

• Strong drafting skills.
• Estate administration experience (preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of New York state laws about trusts and estates.
