Job Description:

- Help clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact of tax on their business
- Advise clients on local and overseas tax affairs
- Act as a strategic consultant for business analysis, working capital management, and profit sharing for partners
- Assist organisations with understanding pricing implications of goods and services between related parties
- Provide advice on tax implications of deals
- Navigate the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment for Financial Services clients
- Address challenges related to stringent capital requirements, operational tax risks, and investing in different jurisdictions
- Assist with tax structuring for clients while keeping up with the constantly changing tax world, both locally and globally
- Develop new skills outside of comfort zone
- Resolve issues that prevent effective team work
- Coach team members and encourage their personal development
- Analyse complex ideas and build meaningful recommendations
- Use various sources of information to develop solutions
- Address sub-standard work and uphold firm's code of ethics and business conduct
- Develop a point of view on key global trends and their impact on clients

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 4 years of experience in public accounting, internal domestic insurance tax departments, or internal foreign insurance departments
- CPA or Member of the Bar certification preferred
- Master's degree in Accounting preferred
- Thorough knowledge of tax issues affecting domestic and/or international insurance industries
- Comprehensive technical skills in FAS 109, FIN 48, tax provision preparation audit and review, and corporate and partnership tax compliance
- Experience identifying and addressing client needs, communicating value propositions, managing resources, and preparing written and verbal materials
- Experience as a team leader, supervising and coaching staff
- Familiarity with a CRM system preferred
- Knowledge of automation and digitization in a professional services environment
- Understanding of alternative fee arrangements and pricing strategies
