Job Overview: A law firm in New York City is seeking a dynamic and experienced Life Sciences Patent Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of relevant experience in life sciences/pharmaceutical patent litigation and a strong educational background in biology, molecular biology, immunology, pharmacology, biochemistry, or chemistry.

Duties:

  • Conducting legal research and analysis related to life sciences patent litigation matters
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Participating in all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, conducting depositions, and managing document review
  • Collaborating with partners and senior associates on case strategy and client communications
  • Assisting with trial preparation, including witness preparation and presentation development
  • Providing support in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of experience in life sciences/pharmaceutical patent litigation
  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in biology, molecular biology, immunology, pharmacology, biochemistry, or chemistry
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Admission to the New York State Bar (or ability to waive in)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in biology, molecular biology, immunology, pharmacology, biochemistry, or chemistry
  • Admission to the New York State Bar (or ability to waive in)
