Job Title: Sr. Legal Counsel - Litigation and Regulatory Support

Job Description:

- Provide comprehensive litigation, regulatory, and commercial legal support to Enbridge Gas Ohio and other Enbridge Gas Distribution & Storage (GDS) businesses
- Manage and resolve disputes and litigation matters for the East Ohio Gas Company, ensuring alignment with Enbridge's business objectives and appropriate liability and risk
- Litigate cases, advise on pre-litigation disputes, and manage internal and external legal resources
- May manage paraprofessionals and train less experienced lawyers or claims professionals
- Direct, monitor, and coordinate outside counsel and internal resources
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, licenses, easements, leases, and agreements
- Review and respond to union communications and advise on legal, regulatory, and external affairs matters
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and advise clients accordingly
- Provide legal and risk analyses and recommendations to clients
- Travel up to 25% as needed

Requirements:

- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in Ohio or other acceptable states
- Minimum 8 years of direct related experience
- Experience in tort and commercial litigation
- Knowledge of state public utility laws, regulations, and issues related to the public utility and energy industry
- Strong understanding of strategic business values and objectives
- Independent judgment, initiative, and ability to work directly with clients

Responsibilities:

- Provide expert legal advice and litigation support to Enbridge Gas Ohio and other GDS businesses
