- Must have completed first year of law school by start of internship
- Preferred qualifications: classes in evidence, criminal law, criminal procedure, constitutional law, critical legal theory, and/or trial advocacy; experience working with low-income clients, people of color, immigrants, LGBT people, and other underrepresented groups; fluency in a foreign language
- Must have access to personal computer and internet for remote work

Responsibilities:

- Work closely with program director, staff attorneys, paralegal, and fellows
- Screen cases and provide litigation support for post-conviction innocence claims
- Work on research, data projects, and policy advocacy
- Draft trial court filings and appellate briefs
- Opportunity to attend court hearings and arguments
