Regional Director – Salem Regional Office
Legal Aid Services of Oregon (LASO)

Responsibilities:

- Supervise legal work, mentoring and overseeing career development of staff.
- Plan and prioritize office work.
- Ensure grant compliance and manage budget.
- Maintain good relations within the office and with community organizations and private bar.
- Handle a small independent caseload.

Qualifications:

- Five years of legal experience required.
- Proven interest and commitment to advocating for the legal rights of low-income and vulnerable clients.
- Legal aid experience or involvement in poverty law issues.
- Substantial litigation experience and excellent legal skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to promote community visibility and collaboration.
- Enthusiasm, creativity, good judgment, initiative, and willingness to work collaboratively.
- Understanding and commitment to anti-bias principles, cultural competency, and addressing systemic racism.
- Preference for candidates who are bilingual in Spanish or another language and members of the Oregon State Bar.

Salary/Benefits:

- Based on a 35-hour work week.
- Salary range of $88,700 – $96,200 for 5-10 years’ experience and $97,700 – $120,200 for 11-30 years’ experience annually.
- Additional $4,300 to $5,700 annually for bilingual ability.
- Full benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance coverage; employer retirement contribution; paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave; and paid moving expenses.
