Job Overview:
A law firm specializing in real estate law seeks an experienced Real Estate Attorney to join its team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in real estate transactions, focusing on acquisition and sales transactions, land development, and financing, particularly in the homebuilder and/or apartment developer industry.

Duties:

  • Handle real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leases, and financings.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to real estate transactions.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding real estate matters, including zoning, land use, and environmental issues.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews and title examinations.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, and other dispute resolution proceedings related to real estate transactions.
  • Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and legal developments affecting real estate transactions.

Requirements:

  • At least 7+ years of experience practicing real estate law, focusing on transactions.
  • Experience representing developers of single-family, multi-family, or mixed-use projects is preferred.
  • Juris doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.

Education:

  • Juris doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Membership in The Florida Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of real estate law and regulations.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
