Job Overview:

Join a Social Security Disability law firm, representing clients in hearings before Social Security Administrative Law Judges. The role entails a mix of client interaction, legal research, case development, and drafting legal documents.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in hearings before Social Security Administrative Law Judges.
  • Answer client questions and provide support throughout the legal process.
  • Review and develop pre-hearing and hearing-level cases.
  • Conduct legal research.
  • Write pre-hearing brief memorandums for disability hearings.
  • Draft appeals council briefs.
  • Maintain regular client contact via telephone, in person, mail, and email.
  • Travel to and from hearings in other cities and states, up to 70% of the time.

Requirements:

  • Attorney License.

  • Eagerness to learn and make a difference.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent legal writing skills.

  • Knowledge of Social Security Disability Law is preferred.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in Texas.
