# Insurance Tax Manager ## Job Summary The Insurance Tax Manager is responsible for providing tax advice and managing the impact of tax on clients in the Financial Services industry. This role will involve providing guidance on local and international tax affairs, analyzing pricing implications of goods and services, and helping clients with tax structuring. In addition, the Insurance Tax Manager will help clients navigate the complex and ever-changing world of taxation and provide advice on tax implications of deals. ## Responsibilities and Duties - Develop new skills outside of comfort zone. - Act to resolve issues which prevent the team working effectively. - Coach others, recognise their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development. - Analyse complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations. - Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations. - Address sub-standard work or work that does not meet firm's/client's expectations. - Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making. - Develop a point of view on key global trends, and how they impact clients. - Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties. - Simplify complex messages, highlighting and summarising key points. - Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct. - Provide tax advice to clients in the Financial Services industry. - Manage the impact of tax on clients. - Advise clients on local and international tax affairs. - Analyze pricing implications of goods and services. - Help clients with tax structuring. - Provide advice on tax implications of deals. - Help clients navigate the complex and ever-changing world of taxation. - Leverage data visualization tools to provide insights to clients. - Utilize digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize engagements. - Develop new relationships and make introductions to sell new services. - Provide a point of view on pricing strategies. ## Qualifications and Skills - Bachelor's degree in Accounting - 4+ years of experience in public accounting practices, internal domestic insurance tax departments or internal foreign insurance departments - - Master's Degree preferred - Thorough knowledge of the tax issues affecting either the domestic and/or international insurance industries - Comprehensive technical skills in FAS 109, FIN 48, tax provision preparation audit and review, and corporate and partnership tax compliance - Experience as a team leader - Experience in developing relationships and making introductions to sell new services - Knowledge of automation & digitization in a professional services environment - Knowledge of alternative fee arrangements ## Salary The salary for the Insurance Tax Manager role will depend on the applicant's qualifications and experience.
