A law firm is seeking a Labor and Employment Associate Attorney for their Fresno, CA office. The candidate will be responsible for various legal duties related to labor and employment law.

 

Job Overview:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective client interaction and collaboration within the firm.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills are required to prepare legal documents and provide sound legal advice.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with labor and employment litigation experience.
  • Fluency in Spanish or prior experience in agriculture, transportation/logistics, manufacturing, or the service industry is advantageous.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on labor and employment law issues.
  • Draft legal documents including complaints, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
  • Represent clients in labor and employment-related proceedings, including administrative hearings and court trials.
  • Provide counsel to clients on various employment matters, including wage and hour compliance, discrimination, harassment, and employee relations.
  • Assist with investigations and audits related to employment practices.

 

Requirements:

  • Admitted to the California Bar.
  • General civil litigation experience is required.
  • Preference given to applicants with labor and employment litigation experience.
  • Fluency in Spanish or experience in agriculture, transportation/logistics, manufacturing, or the service industry is a plus.
  • 1-10 years of experience in a law firm or in-house setting.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents.
  • Familiarity with labor and employment law principles.
  • Fluency in Spanish (preferred).
  • Experience in relevant industries (agriculture, transportation/logistics, manufacturing, or service industry) is advantageous.
