Job Overview: A law firm in San Antonio, TX, is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trials. They should be well-organized, able to manage a high-volume caseload, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

Job Duties:

  • Support all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trials
  • Manage a high-volume caseload efficiently and effectively
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests
  • Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as necessary
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts as required
  • Assist with case management and strategy development

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas
  • 3+ years of practical litigation experience
  • Prior insurance defense experience and/or jury trial experience is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas
