The selected candidate will collaborate closely with clients to comprehend the extent of their injuries, negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel, and effectively represent clients in court.

Duties:

  • Work closely with clients to assess the extent of their injuries and understand their legal needs
  • Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
  • Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, encompassing auto accidents, slip and falls, premises liability claims, and wrongful death cases
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests to gather pertinent information for cases
  • Prepare motions and motion responses to advance legal arguments effectively
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies
  • Engage with experts from various medical and other disciplines to bolster case evidence
  • Assist in report drafting, deposition preparation, and other case-related tasks as required

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in pre-suit and litigating personal injury cases on the plaintiff side (preferred)
  • Experience in drafting and responding to motions is advantageous
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Florida State Bar
  • Proficient understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence
  • Exceptional writing skills and aptitude for legal research
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish/English is advantageous

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to advocate effectively for clients
  • Capacity to manage a diverse caseload efficiently and prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in legal documents and proceedings
