Job Duties:

  • Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Keep abreast of local, state, and federal law changes.
  • Prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Attend court hearings on behalf of clients and argue motions.
  • Provide guidance and advice to associate attorneys and paralegals to resolve or prevent conflicts.
  • Advocate for clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration.
  • Draft and review complaints, interpret contracts, draft contracts, and engage in motion practice.
  • Conduct legal research, prepare pleadings, and coordinate hearings and communication with opposing counsel.
  • Draft correspondence and communicate with Chambers and judicial assistants.
  • Meet with clients and represent them in court proceedings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with a law degree from an accredited law school (., ., LLM, JSD).
  • Member of State and Local Bar Associations in good standing.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a senior associate in the legal field.
  • Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
  • Previous trial experience and comfort in meeting with clients.
  • Exceptional time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing a heavy caseload.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong litigation experience, including drafting and reviewing complaints, interpreting contracts, and conducting legal research.
  • Proficiency in motion practice, including drafting summary judgment motions, responses, and objections.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with appearing in court in person and via video conferencing platforms like Zoom.
