This position offers a salary range of $56,223 - $67,424, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The organization is currently looking for a highly qualified individual to join their team and provide legal representation in Family Law, Public Assistance Benefits, Housing and Consumer Protection, Seniors Legal services, and limited Immigration. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about social justice and has experience working with disadvantaged and low-income populations, as well as survivors of domestic abuse. Responsibilities: - Provide legal representation in Family Law, Public Assistance Benefits, Housing and Consumer Protection, Seniors Legal services, and limited Immigration - Participate in community engagement, outreach and education, statewide initiatives, and day-to-day oversight of non-attorney staff - Maintain good working relationships with co-workers and demonstrate cultural sensitivity towards diverse, low-income populations - Manage a busy litigation practice, meet deadlines, and perform multiple tasks with attention to detail - Work under pressure in an empathetic and professional manner - Utilize strong writing, editing, and proof-reading skills Qualifications: - Member in good standing of the Bar of the State of Hawai‘i is preferred - Litigation experience preferred, but not required if willing to learn and develop litigation skills - Experience or familiarity with family law strongly preferred - Demonstrable commitment to social justice or experience working with disadvantaged and/or low-income population and survivors of domestic abuse strongly preferred - Basic computer skills required, familiarity with Microsoft Office program (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams) strongly preferred - Must have valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel to various parts of Hawai‘i Island Compensation and Benefits: - Salary range of $56,223 - $67,424, commensurate with experience and qualifications - Generous benefits package including medical and dental insurance, 401K plan with employer matching, life insurance for employees and dependents, and more - Hybrid working condition (remote and in-office) based on a weekly rotation schedule To apply, send resume, cover letter, and contact information for three professional references to .
