In this role, you will be responsible for managing the tax obligations and implications for insurance clients in the United States. You will work as part of a team to provide strategic tax advice and guidance related to business analysis, working capital management, and profit sharing for partners. You will also assist clients in understanding the tax implications of deals and pricing of goods and services between related parties. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage tax obligations and implications for insurance clients in the United States
- Provide strategic tax advice related to business analysis, working capital management, and profit sharing for partners
- Assist clients in understanding tax implications of deals and pricing of goods and services between related parties
- Develop new skills outside of comfort zone
- Act to resolve issues which prevent the team working effectively
- Coach others, recognise their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development
- Analyse complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations
- Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations
- Address sub-standard work or work that does not meet firm's/client's expectations
- Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making
- Develop a point of view on key global trends, and how they impact clients
- Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties
- Simplify complex messages, highlighting and summarising key points
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting, internal domestic insurance tax departments or internal foreign insurance departments
- CPA or Member of the Bar certification preferred
- Master's degree preferred
- Thorough knowledge of tax issues affecting domestic and/or international insurance industries
- Comprehensive technical skills in FAS 109, FIN 48, tax provision preparation audit and review, and corporate and partnership tax compliance
- Experience identifying and addressing client needs, managing resources, and preparing complex written and verbal materials
- Experience as a team leader, supervising teams and providing timely feedback
- Familiarity with CRM systems preferred
- Knowledge of automation and digitization in a professional services environment
- Ability to work with large, complex data sets and provide insights through data visualization tools
- Understanding of alternative fee arrangements and pricing strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to upholding the firm's code of ethics and business conduct
