Lowenstein Sandler, a leading law firm, is currently seeking a highly qualified Patent Attorney for our Intellectual Property team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in drafting, preparing, filing, and prosecuting patent applications for software, specifically in operating systems, middleware software, directory servers, network management, virtualization, and cloud computing. This position is available in our Roseland, NJ, Centerville, UT, or Palo Alto, CA locations.

Responsibilities:
• Draft, prepare, file, and prosecute patent applications for software
• Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses
• Communicate with clients and internal teams to gather necessary information for patent applications
• Collaborate with other attorneys and agents to manage workload and deadlines

Requirements:

• Work experience as a software developer
• Admitted to the USPTO
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
