This position is responsible for analyzing risk, conducting research, interacting with agents, and making decisions on insurability of titles. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate Degree and experience in title insurance underwriting or claims, preferably 3-5 years. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $125,000-150,000 and a deadline of July 9, 2024 to apply. Responsibilities: • Make risk adverse, common sense underwriting decisions • Respond in a timely manner to underwriting inquiries from agents • Research, analyze, and interpret statutes, regulations, and court rulings • Identify issues and apply legal principles and underwriting guidelines • Provide analysis and guidance on federal and state laws and regulations • Participate in the agent underwriting review process • Support agency with recruitment and retention of agents • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner • Ability to travel overnight • Create and present educational and underwriting materials • Prepare bulletins, alerts, and other agent communications Qualifications: • Juris Doctorate Degree • License to practice law • 3-5 years of title insurance underwriting or claims experience • Proficiency with MS Office and email • Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Proficient with internet research • Exceptional presentation skills .
