A law firm in Dallas is seeking a Mid-Level Investment Funds Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in investments in, or the formation of, domestic and international private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds. Experience with secondary transactions, structuring separately managed accounts, and structuring carry vehicles is also desirable. The candidate should demonstrate strong analytical and writing skills, attention to detail, good business judgment, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and independently.

 

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product.
  • Successfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; participating in digital/virtual conference calls; participating in meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Admitted to practice in Illinois.
  • Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC experience.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar.

  • Transferable skills with a strong academic background.
