A law firm in Syracuse is actively seeking a General Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-6 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate should have experience in civil litigation, including areas such as business, commercial, employment, real estate, and/or trusts and estates. The role involves assisting with or conducting discovery, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Strong legal research and writing skills are essential for success in this position.

Duties:

• Assist with or conduct discovery, including document production, interrogatories, and depositions.
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed.
• Perform legal research on various issues related to civil litigation.
• Write legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and internal teams on case strategy.
• Provide legal advice and representation to clients.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
• 2-6 years of experience in general litigation.
• Experience in one or more areas of civil litigation, such as business, commercial, employment, real estate, and/or trusts and estates.

Skills:

• Strong litigation experience, including discovery, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Proficient in legal research and writing.
• Knowledgeable in one or more areas of civil litigation.
