This is a full-time position and the preferred candidate will have at least 8 years of relevant experience in property and casualty insurance defense or subrogation. In this role, you will represent clients under both commercial and personal lines insurance policies, independently as lead counsel or as part of a larger team. You will also be expected to maintain a highly productive case volume and demonstrate expertise in various legal concentrations. This position offers a hybrid work opportunity or full remote work depending on location. Responsibilities: - Independently represent clients under commercial and personal lines insurance policies, as well as part of a larger team when needed. - Maintain a highly productive and efficient case volume. - Demonstrate expertise in various legal concentrations. - Stay updated on changes to the law, technology, and other aspects of the legal and insurance industries. - Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key associates and colleagues within the legal and insurance industries. - Communicate effectively with clients, claims partners, and internal teams. - Serve as a mentor to junior attorneys and provide guidance and training. - Other responsibilities as assigned. Requirements: - Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. - Active license in the state of California. - At least 8 years of relevant experience in property and casualty insurance defense or subrogation. - Strong litigation skills and knowledge of legal practices and procedures. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with staff and other attorneys. - Effective negotiation skills. - Resourceful and able to adapt to changes in the law and technology. - Strong time management and organization skills. - Leadership skills and ability to influence and motivate others. - Familiarity with ethical rules and policies. - Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Working Conditions: - Normal office environment, but may work from home depending on office needs. - Frequent travel and occasional overnight travel. - Extended hours may be necessary to meet demands of the job.
