# Estate Planning Attorney - Law Firm in Salt Lake City, Utah

Law Firm is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join their Salt Lake City, Utah office. The successful candidate will collaborate with the shareholder and assist in providing exceptional client service in the areas of estate planning, wealth preservation, and asset protection.

## Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the shareholder and assist in drafting estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance care directives, and other related documents
- Conduct legal research and provide analysis on complex estate and tax planning matters
- Participate in client meetings and consultations to understand their goals, assets and family dynamics to ensure their objectives are met
- Assist clients in minimizing estate taxes and maximizing tax efficiency through various strategies such as gifting, charitable giving, or establishing tax-efficient trusts
- Assist clients with business succession planning for the smooth transition of their businesses to the next generation or new owners while minimizing tax implications
- Assist with the management of client relationships and communications
- Attend legal conferences and seminars to remain current with the latest developments in estate planning and tax law

## Requirements

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Utah State Bar license or the ability to waive in
- Strong legal research and analytical skills, with tax and estate planning experience preferred
- LLM in Taxation preferred but not required
- 1-3 years of experience in estate planning law, including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related documents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
