Job Details:

Duties:

  • Conduct legal analysis and provide strategic advice on project finance matters, focusing on renewable and conventional power and energy projects.
  • Handle credit and security documentation, demonstrating expertise in diligence processes for large-scale projects.
  • Lead closings for project finance and acquisition (leveraged) finance transactions, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal requirements.
  • Manage bid and commitment papers for power, energy, and infrastructure projects.
  • Navigate tax equity financings and other financing arrangements for renewables, transportation infrastructure, and conventional power generation.

Requirements:

  • Mid to Senior-Level Attorney with significant experience in project finance, preferably at a large national or international law firm.
  • Demonstrated expertise in credit and security documentation, focusing on renewable and conventional power and energy projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully running closings for project finance and acquisition (leveraged) finance transactions.
  • Experience in both the lender and sponsor-side roles, including tax equity financings and other renewables, transportation infrastructure, and conventional power generation financing.
  • Familiarity with ISDA, EEI, and other enabling documentation relevant to project finance.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.

Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications in project finance or related fields (preferred).

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
