# Senior Product & Technology Counsel

## Job Summary

Prime Trust is seeking a Senior Product & Technology Counsel to provide legal advice and strategies with a focus on product and technology and commercial agreements. The successful candidate will have a broad range of responsibilities providing legal guidance on product development initiatives and will partner with internal and external teams and clients to develop new technologies while managing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.

## Principal Responsibilities

- Partner with Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, and other teams to provide practical and actionable advice as we launch new and exciting products
- Lead the legal team advising on product compliance and data privacy issues globally
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in applicable laws, regulations, and industry trends
- Identify risks and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners
- Draft and negotiate a variety of agreements, including but not limited to inbound product agreements, patent and technology license agreements, development and collaboration agreements, master service agreements, consulting services agreements, and logistics and supply agreements
- Support continuous improvement of forms, policies, and processes
- Supervise and build out a team of other legal professionals, including managing outside counsel as needed

## Experience and Skills

- At least 7 years of transactional legal experience at both a top-ranked law firm and in a corporate legal department with an emphasis on drafting and negotiating technology and commercial contracts and advising product and engineering teams
- Expertise in payments, capital markets, finance, fintech, wealth management, or regulated financial institutions
- Strong mix of legal, technical, and business acumen
- Ability to understand and discuss complex technical issues and data flows
- Ability to juggle multiple simultaneous projects at once
- Ability to pivot on the fly to adapt to sudden changes in regulation, industry opportunities, or business priorities
- Expert communication skills
- Active and in good standing in one State Bar in the United States, preferably in California or New York
- Juris Doctor Degree
