# Assistant Prosecuting Attorney – Clare County

Are you an experienced attorney looking for courtroom experience and experience with all types of cases? If so, the Clare County Prosecutor’s Office has an exciting opportunity for you.

## Job Description
The Assistant Prosecuting Attorney will work under the direct supervision of the Prosecuting Attorney and Chief Assistant Prosecutor. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of legal tasks associated with the position, including but not limited to: motion practice, warrant review and charge decisions, jury trials, plea negotiations, search warrant review, and legal research. Depending on experience level, cases may be assigned in District, Circuit, and Family courts.

## Requirements
* Must be a licensed member of the Michigan State Bar Association in good standing.

## Benefits
This position offers a salary of $70,, plus a $33,000 benefit package including MERS pension, life insurance, dental, vision, and excellent health care insurance with minimum co-pays.

**This is an ARPA funded position through 2026**

Clare County is the perfect place with small town charm and big adventure. With 20 lakes in 20 minutes, there is an abundance of boating, kayaking, canoeing, and year round fishing. Clare County has a multitude of trailheads for hiking, biking, horseback riding or off road vehicle use, summer and winter. If you crave the arts or enjoy concerts – Midland Center for the Arts and Soaring Eagle casino are less than an hour drive away.
