A law firm is seeking a highly motivated Real Estate/Business Associate Attorney with strong academic credentials and at least 3 years of experience in real estate, business law, commercial transactions, and/or community associations. The ideal candidate must possess excellent research skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. They must also exhibit professionalism, effective communication, and a commitment to upholding high ethical standards.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research to support clients' cases and transactions.
  • Independently draft transactional documents related to real estate, business law, commercial transactions, and community associations.
  • Attend client appointments independently, representing the firm effectively.
  • Learn and understand client expectations and key department business goals, assisting clients in meeting those goals.
  • Handle and actively seek opportunities to become involved in special projects and committees.
  • Complete all required administrative tasks, including time reporting, closed cases, and other materials relevant to job duties.
  • Effectively utilize technology and automation in the practice of law.
  • Adhere to all standards of excellence in file management, ensuring accuracy and organization.
  • Travel as required to meet business needs.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Firm by complying with federal and state regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Ability to participate in all aspects of the firm's professional activities, including client intake and trial preparation.
  • Prior transactional experience in real estate, business law, commercial transactions, and/or community association matters.
  • Must record case time and expenses contemporaneously.
  • Punctuality and ability to abide by agreed-upon office hours.
  • Heightened attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines efficiently and effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe, and file management software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, with a professional demeanor in person and virtually.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • High ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality of client matters at all times.

 

Education/Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Current license to practice law, in good standing with the Alabama Bar.
