A law firm is seeking a Labor And Employment Attorney with the following qualifications:

Job Overview:

The Labor And Employment Attorney defends and prosecutes lawsuits involving various employment-related claims. They also represent employers in different legal settings, provide counsel on labor and employment laws, and ensure adherence to current procedures and regulations.

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving various employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
  • Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases.
  • Provide advice and counsel to employers on various labor and employment laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • JD is from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • 6+ years of litigation experience, preferably with a background in employment law.
  • Active TX Bar admission or ability to obtain admission quickly.
  • Understanding of current court and employment-related agency (state and federal) procedures.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
