Job Overview:

Duties:

  • Litigate CT personal injury cases, including automobile and premises liability cases.
  • Work closely with clients, team members, and partners to develop factual and medical evidence for injury claims.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other filings with various CT state courts.
  • Research a variety of novel legal issues in State and Federal cases.
  • Present and argue discovery motions.
  • Manage the court approval process for wrongful death and minor cases.
  • Prepare petitions and present them to the Court.
  • Oversee the full approval process for court petitions.
  • Prepare cases for pre-litigation, litigation, and settlement.
  • Manage the filing of pleadings, tracking service of process, and assuring SOL deadlines are met.

Requirements:

  • Admitted to the CT Bar.
  • 3+ years of personal injury experience.
  • Must be a team player, willing to work collaboratively with colleagues.

  • Excellent analytical skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite and demonstrated comfort with technology.

  • New York Bar Admission is required.
  • Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Ohio, or West Virginia admission is a plus.
