Job Summary:

BDO is seeking a Director to join the firm's thriving Privacy & Data Protection (PDP) Practice as a subject matter expert and engagement leader. This role offers the opportunity to work with both domestic and international clients and professionals, and to provide global solutions for data protection and privacy needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and deliver global data protection and privacy strategies for client C-suite/board
- Build cross-cultural functionality for clients to operationalize global privacy programs
- Manage project teams and ensure timely and on-budget delivery of quality work for clients
- Establish new relationships to drive opportunities for the firm
- Comply with BDO's Quality Risk Management, Data Protection, and other frameworks
- Mentor team members and ensure consistent quality and adherence to standards
- Act as a leader and maintain positive relationships with clients and firm personnel
- Manage multiple large, complex and potentially long-term engagements and clients

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree required, Master's, Juris Doctorate, or MBA preferred
- 10+ years of consulting experience, with at least 3 years in data protection or privacy
- Experience working with Fortune 500 clients and managing large, complex privacy projects
- One or more privacy certifications and experience with privacy-enabled technology solutions preferred
- Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Multilingual capabilities preferred

Salary Information:

Individual salaries offered to candidates are determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and location. The salary range for this role in various locations is as follows:

- California: $200,000 - $225,000
- Colorado: $200,000 - $225,000
- NYC/Long Island/Westchester: $200,000 - $225,000
- Washington, DC: $200,000 - $225,000

develops and delivers global data protection and privacy strategies to client c-suite/board
builds cross-culture functionality for clients to operationalize global privacy programs
develops and delivers privacy operations program plans for global corporate clients
manages bdo usa team members and collaborates with bdo member firms and offshore team members
provides detailed level information to clients around ccpa, cpra, pipl, gdpr, lgpd, pipeda among other domestic and global privacy laws
guides and advises team members around project budget and scheduling
establishes new relationships to drive new opportunities to bdo
complies with bdo’s quality risk management, data protection, and other frameworks to ensure consistency across service delivery
manages and maintains relationships with client professionals, and introduces other bdo professionals to expand on existing relationships
manages the day-to-day project requirements, as well as the on-site and/or remote team
ensures clients receive timely, actionable and thoughtful responses to questions, data subject requests, or supervisory authority inquiries
