Responsibilities

Advising on privacy and related laws affecting commercial transactions
Advising on international transfer of data
Connected car programs and data management strategies
Providing regulatory and general legal compliance advice
Advising on information security incidents
Coordinating with outside counsel resources
Contract negotiation, review, and drafting
Regulatory review, drafting, and compliance
Short and long-term legal risk assessment
Partnership and collaboration with business stakeholders
Training and managing outside counsel

Qualifications

Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Juris Doctorate from accredited law school or international equivalent
Strong knowledge of US, Canadian, European and other international privacy and marketing laws
5+ years of privacy or similar regulatory or consumer protection experience
Litigation and/or litigation management experience preferred
License qualified or admitted to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards
Collaborative work ethic and ability to identify creative solutions
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
