Summary: The Legal Aid Services of Oregon (LASO) is seeking a Regional Director for its Pendleton office. The Regional Director will lead a team of one to two staff attorneys and two support staff. LASO is a non-profit organization that provides legal representation to low-income clients in civil cases. The organization has eight regional offices and two specialized programs that focus on services for farmworkers and Native Americans. The Pendleton office is located in a picturesque area with ample opportunities for outdoor recreation. The Regional Director will be responsible for overseeing the office's operations, including supervising legal work, managing budgets, and maintaining relationships with community organizations and the private bar. To be considered for the position, candidates must have at least five years of legal experience and a demonstrated commitment to advocating for the rights of low-income and vulnerable clients. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in legal aid or poverty law issues. Fluency in Spanish and/or another language and membership in the Oregon State Bar are also desirable qualifications. The salary range for this position is $82,700 to $114,200 annually, depending on relevant work experience.
