Duties:

  • Handle managed care cases, specializing in provider contract and billing disputes, medical necessity, level of care, and coordination of benefits.
  • Manage and lead out-of-network payor provider litigation cases.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach in assuming immediate responsibility for legal matters within the managed care practice.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and draft persuasive briefs.
  • Participate in oral arguments and legal proceedings as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with legal teams and other professionals within the law firm.

 

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of general litigation and/or arbitration experience.
  • Strong academic credentials and exceptional writing skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the field of managed care.
  • Proven experience in a law firm environment.
  • Motivated, personable, articulate, and able to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Bar license in at least one of the following states: California, Texas, or Florida (preferred).

 

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Preferred law school experience includes law clerk internships, moot court participation, or law review/journal involvement.

 

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of managed care, including provider contract and billing disputes.
  • Proficient in legal research, analysis, and persuasive brief writing.
  • Strong oral argument and presentation skills.
