About the Organization:

The USAO District of Connecticut is responsible for prosecuting federal criminal offenses, litigating civil fraud and enforcement actions, and defending the . Government's interests in civil cases. With offices in New Haven, Bridgeport, and Hartford, the organization has approximately 70 Assistant United States Attorneys representing the interests of the United States in the district. Job Description:

The USAO District of Connecticut offers an unpaid internship program for first-year (second semester), second-year, and third-year law students. Interns have the opportunity to work in the Criminal and Civil Divisions and participate in a range of tasks, including research and writing projects, witness interviews, document analysis, and assisting with trials.

Qualifications:

- First-year (second semester), second-, and third-year law students
- Must be a . citizen and pass a background investigation
