# Tax Principal - High Net Worth
## Job Summary
CLA is a top 10 national professional services firm that creates opportunities for their clients, people, and communities through wealth advisory, digital, audit, tax, consulting, and outsourcing services. They are looking for a Tax Principal – High Net Worth to join their Private Client Tax practice in one of their New England area offices. The Tax Principal will lead a team of tax and industry professionals to deliver tax compliance and consulting services, and will be responsible for a book of business, developing new business, and expanding services to existing clients.

## Job Responsibilities
- Lead a team of tax and industry professionals to deliver tax compliance and consulting services, including mentoring the team to get to know and help their clients
- Assume full responsibility for all services for clients in a book of business
- Review and sign engagement letters, discuss the nature and terms of assignments with clients and staff, and approve fees
- Review and approve work papers and tax returns prepared by staff
- Review and sign client deliverables
- Keep current on tax law changes
- Actively develop new business and expand services to existing clients
- Demonstrate commitment to the firm through a willingness to devote time to the practice

## Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting, Taxation or related field
- Current CPA licensure required (JD may be accepted in lieu of CPA)
- 10+ years of public accounting experience in a tax role with a public accounting and/or professional services firm
- 5+ years of experience managing people and/or projects
- Experience with high net worth individuals and their tax and financial planning needs
- Ability to maintain effective client relationships and build client loyalty
- Proven track record of developing new business and expanding services to existing clients
- Ability to lead and manage staff and projects
- Ability to identify and resolve complex tax and financial planning issues
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to travel to meet with clients, as needed
