A law firm in New York City is seeking an Employment and Labor Attorney with 1-3 years of experience in both employment litigation and employment counseling. The ideal candidate must have experience in case development, legal research and writing, discovery, witness interviews or investigations, and brief writing.

Job Overview:

• Handling employment litigation matters and providing employment counseling
• Conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and interviewing witnesses

Duties:

• Developing cases and strategies for employment litigation matters
• Conducting legal research on employment law issues and preparing legal memoranda
• Drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents for court filings
• Managing all aspects of discovery, including document production and depositions
• Interviewing witnesses and conducting investigations into employment-related matters
• Providing legal advice and counseling to clients on employment law compliance and risk management
• Representing clients in administrative proceedings and negotiations with government agencies
• Collaborating with senior attorneys and support staff on case management and strategy

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Bar in New York
• 1-3 years of experience in both employment litigation and employment counseling
• Strong academic credentials with exceptional communication and legal writing skills
• High level of motivation and initiative, with a strong work ethic
