New York Bar admission is a prerequisite for this role.

Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload, focusing on insurance defense matters, particularly in general liability and commercial transportation.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research, analyze issues, and provide well-founded legal advice to clients.
• Draft various legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery responses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to develop effective case strategies and achieve positive outcomes.
• Maintain organized and detailed case records, documenting client interactions, court appearances, and case developments.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4-20 years of hands-on experience in insurance defense, focusing on general liability matters and commercial transportation.
• Proven ability to handle a full caseload, demonstrating proficiency in reporting, drafting motions, discovery, court appearances, and pre-trial preparation.
• Mandatory admission to the New York Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
