Job Responsibilities:

- Represent the State of Florida, its agencies, officers, employees, and agents in civil litigation cases at both the trial and appellate levels
- Handle a variety of civil actions, including class action lawsuits, administrative cases, bankruptcy cases, and tort litigation
- Protect the public's interest through common law duties and responsibilities assigned to the Civil Litigation Division
- Serve as the attorney for the State of Florida and a member of the Florida Cabinet
- Provide practical experience in a legal field for law students
- Perform meaningful work towards the completion of their degree

Job Requirements:

- Currently enrolled in an accredited ABA law school
- Available to intern a minimum of 20 hours per week
- Able to intern for a period prescribed by the college or school
- Eligible to receive academic credit or participate in law school sponsored programs
- Required documentation includes: application, resume, letter from advisor or university, and official transcript (unofficial accepted for initial application)
- 2nd and 3rd year law students may be expected to provide a writing sample at the time of interview if selected
