A law firm in Chicago is seeking a Mid-Level Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial services, contested foreclosure, and/or Illinois commercial litigation, along with strong writing and communication skills.

 

Duties:

  • Assume a high level of responsibility in state or federal court matters defending financial institutions in single-plaintiff litigation and appeals.
  • Handle a variety of financial services litigation matters, including contested foreclosure cases.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs.
  • Prepare for and participate in court hearings, trials, and appellate proceedings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and client representation.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois Bar is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably in financial services or related areas.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Experience with contested foreclosure cases and Illinois commercial litigation preferred.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Illinois Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Experience in financial services litigation or related areas.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and appellate briefs.
