Executive Director of Business Support Services Position Summary: KPMG is seeking an experienced Executive Director to join their Office of General Counsel as an Associate General Counsel. This role will primarily focus on providing legal support for the Litigation group, specifically on the Practice Protection Team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of eighteen years of experience in a well-regarded law firm or in-house legal department. They will also have experience defending complex civil litigations and regulatory investigations involving accounting firms, similar professional organizations, or financial institutions. This position reports to the Vice Chair for Legal, Regulatory & Compliance/General Counsel and the Deputy General Counsel for Litigation. Responsibilities: - Provide counsel on civil litigation, third-party subpoenas, and regulatory or government investigations - Represent KPMG and its professionals in litigation proceedings and regulatory investigations - Develop and implement strategies to successfully resolve litigation claims and investigations - Supervise outside counsel and collaborate with other members of the Office of General Counsel - Report to and consult with senior leadership on litigation and regulatory matters - Assist in developing financial projections for legal matters Qualifications: - Minimum eighteen years of recent experience in a well-regarded law firm or in-house legal department - JD or LLM from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in the . - Experience within the Division of Enforcement of either the SEC or PCAOB a plus - Ability to manage multiple litigations and projects simultaneously - Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills - Demonstrated collaboration and client-service orientation - Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion Salary Information: - Salary ranges vary by location and are determined based on relevant factors such as skills, experience, and market considerations - Comprehensive benefits package offered, including medical and dental plans, disability and life insurance, 401(k), and personal well-being benefits - Personal Time Off provided per fiscal year; firmwide breaks also observed - Visit the KPMG US Careers site for more information on benefits KPMG is proud to be consistently ranked among the best companies to work for by various publications.
