A law firm in Austin is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join their team. This individual will be responsible for handling various aspects of litigation, primarily focusing on personal injury cases. The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for meeting with clients, conducting motion work, handling discovery processes, conducting depositions, and participating in mediations. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in personal injury law and possess excellent communication and client interface skills.

 

Duties:

  • Meet with clients to discuss case details and provide legal advice
  • Prepare and file motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
  • Conduct discovery processes including interrogatories, requests for production, and depositions
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and mediations
  • Maintain communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other involved parties
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations
  • Attend hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings as required
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on case strategies and tactics

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA)
  • State Bar certification in Texas
  • Board of Legal Specialization Certification preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in personal injury law
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
  • Stellar client interface skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Bilingual proficiency preferred

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

 

Certifications:

  • State Bar certification in Texas
  • Board of Legal Specialization Certification preferred
