A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Class Action Associate Attorney for their Austin office. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably gained while practicing at an AmLaw 100 firm, with a focus on class action defense, complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation. Superior writing, research, and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, lawyers, and third parties.

 

Duties:

  • Defend class action lawsuits and handle complex commercial litigation matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues related to class actions, securities, and consumer litigation.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Participate in all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, conducting document reviews, and preparing for and attending depositions.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Strong academic background from nationally recognized schools.
  • Previous federal clerkship experience is a plus.
  • Experience with class action defense, complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation is highly preferred.
  • Superior writing skills with the ability to produce high-quality work product under tight deadlines.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of TX (or ability to obtain admission promptly).

 

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
