A law firm in Tallahassee, FL, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience. The ideal candidate must hold a . from an ABA-accredited law school, be an active member of the Florida Bar, and possess exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills. Prior clerkship experience and familiarity with civil procedure rules are preferred. The Associate Attorney will work directly with partners, paralegals, and support staff, managing written and document discovery, and must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a positive work ethic.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct and manage written and document discovery processes.
  • Collaborate with partners, paralegals, and support staff on case management.
  • Research and analyze legal issues related to cases.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance at the office (not a remote position).
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
  • Ensure adherence to Florida and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Assist with trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • 3+ years of legal experience.
  • Prior clerkship experience preferred.
  • Graduated in the top 20% of law school class with law review or journal experience and/or Moot Court preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Florida and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

 

Certifications:
