Job Overview:

The Senior Criminal Defense Attorney will provide expert legal counsel to clients facing criminal charges, representing them in various legal proceedings and strategizing for their defense. The role requires extensive experience in criminal law, exceptional interpersonal skills, and proficiency in English and Spanish.

Duties:

• Advise clients on legal rights and draw up relevant legal documents
• Attend pretrial hearings and advise clients on optimal strategies
• Manage court appearances, trials, motions drafting, witness interviews, and legal research
• Analyze potential case outcomes based on legal precedents
• Manage workload effectively, prioritizing cases as needed
• Provide thorough legal analysis to clients, identifying potential case benefits
• Gather additional evidence to strengthen clients' cases or challenge prosecution charges
• Prepare clients for depositions, define case strategy goals and gather information from witnesses and experts

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of Criminal Defense Experience
• Experience handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels
• Proficiency in English and Spanish
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Team player attitude, willing to collaborate and strategize with fellow associates

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the California State Bar
