This team collaborates with tax leaders and other members of the firm to provide support on client-specific tax matters, training on technical issues, and staying up-to-date on tax legislation developments. As a National Tax Technical Senior Manager, you will have the opportunity to directly impact the firm's tax practice by utilizing your expertise and collaborating with individuals at all levels within the firm. Responsibilities: - Serve as a trusted tax technical resource for the firm by developing strong working relationships and responding to inquiries from team members - Lead resolution of complex tax technical matters with high levels of uncertainty and risk - Collaborate with individuals across the firm to identify and develop opportunities and resources for tax technical services - Conduct technical tax research and communicate findings effectively - Manage projects and provide coaching and development to team members supporting tax practice initiatives - Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to facilitate tax technical training - Develop internal and external written communications related to technical tax matters and tax law developments - Evaluate implications of new tax law changes and provide recommendations to tax leadership - Participate in internal and external activities to gain visibility and recognition within a technical specialization Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required; advanced degree in Taxation highly desired - Minimum of 7 years tax professional experience required, preferably in a public accounting or law firm setting - CPA or Bar License required - Experience coaching and managing a team, with a focus on technical development of tax professionals - Advanced knowledge of technical taxation and ability to research tax positions - Familiarity with research software and ability to work with tax code, regulations, and authorities - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently in ambiguous circumstances - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex issues to large or small groups - Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment - Ability to travel as needed (approximately 5%) At Moss Adams, we value leadership, technical excellence, and diverse perspectives.
