Job Overview:

The Senior Private Equity Mergers and Acquisitions Associate Attorney will support healthcare clients' transactional needs. The focus will be on handling acquisitions of physician and dental practices, as well as representing behavioral health providers. The ideal candidate should have at least 6 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions transactions, with a preference for those who have worked with private equity funds and healthcare providers. Additional experience or a keen interest in behavioral health is considered a strong advantage. The candidate must demonstrate a high level of academic achievement, possess relevant law firm experience, and exhibit superb writing, drafting, and communication skills.

Duties:

  • Manage and oversee mergers and acquisitions transactions, specifically on healthcare clients, including physician and dental practice acquisitions and behavioral health representation.
  • Provide legal counsel to private equity funds and healthcare providers.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and due diligence related to transactions.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and transactional documents.
  • Collaborate with clients, partners, and other legal professionals to ensure the successful execution of transactions.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions transactions.
  • Experience working with private equity funds and/or healthcare providers.
  • Strong background or interest in behavioral health is a plus.
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of Texas.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Texas State Bar or eligibility for prompt admission.
