H2: Position Overview

- Hybrid position with 95% remote work and 5% travel to Jack Henry offices
- Responsible for legal and regulatory compliance for financial products and services
- Collaborate with colleagues from all areas of the company
- Primary subject matter expert for product development, risk assessment, and regulatory guidance

H2: Key Responsibilities

- Maintain up-to-date understanding of laws and regulations applicable to financial institutions
- Assess risk to the business and provide timely, business-focused legal advice
- Review and assess new products for compliance with laws, regulations, and industry best practices
- Communicate legal and regulatory concepts to product designers and engineers
- Draft and advise on policies, processes, and internal controls for compliance
- Coordinate with data privacy counsel and product-supporting counsel
- Provide guidance to corporate compliance team on regulatory issues and interactions
- Identify and communicate key themes and updates from regulator interactions
- Review proposed regulations for commenting opportunities
- Be a reliable and adaptable team player
- May assist with verbal and written communications with regulators

H2: Qualifications

- Juris Doctorate degree and admitted to a state bar in good standing
- Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably in the financial services industry
- Knowledge of US banking laws and regulations
- Experience or familiarity with regulatory compliance in financial services
- Strong judgment, interpersonal skills, and time management
- Ability to travel up to 5% for meetings, training, and conferences

- In-house counsel experience for a publicly traded technology company
- Exposure to federal banking agencies
- Experience with corporate compliance program functions
- Enjoy building client relationships and working with various teams
- Self-starter with a curiosity and ability to provide practical legal solutions
- Ability to see beyond the immediate question to the larger issue and future implications
