West Virginia Lead Attorney - Foreclosure Job Summary: Reimer Law, a full-service creditors' rights law firm, is seeking a motivated and experienced West Virginia attorney to open and establish a new office in the state. The ideal candidate will have at least three to five years of experience in West Virginia real estate, foreclosure, and/or creditors' rights law, and be able to work independently while also collaborating with our team. This position requires excellent communication, organizational, and people skills, as well as the ability to travel throughout West Virginia. Responsibilities: - Assist in opening and establishing a new physical office in West Virginia - Manage and grow the firm's real estate, mortgage default, and creditor bankruptcy practice in the state - Represent clients at hearings in all West Virginia counties - Handle a significant caseload with limited supervision, utilizing innovative technology and support staff - Draft legal documents and motions as needed for client representation - Coordinate with the Reimer team for excellent service to clients Requirements: - Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school - Admitted to practice law in West Virginia, with admission to Ohio and/or Kentucky as a plus - Three to five years of experience in real estate law, foreclosure trustee operations, and creditor bankruptcy law - Knowledge of the non-judicial foreclosure process in West Virginia and a willingness to learn about secured creditor bankruptcy issues - Ability to locate and set up a physical office, and potentially hire West Virginia-based staff - Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the state for court appearances and other duties - Familiarity with national mortgage servicing industry and standard client software - Strong business and legal judgment, analytical and organizational skills, and effective written and verbal communication abilities - Ability to work independently and in a team environment, both in person and remotely Benefits: - Medical, dental, and vision insurance - Flexible spending accounts - Short term and long term disability insurance - Company-paid life insurance - Business casual office environment - Equal opportunity employer Experience Salary Information: - Salary range: $80,000-$100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications - Benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, short term and long-term disability insurance, and company-paid life insurance.
