The Sr EPC/Equipment Supply Counsel role at NextEra Energy is a highly sought-after position within the company. The Sr EPC/Equipment Supply Counsel will provide legal support for the commercial and infrastructure group within NextEra Energy's General Counsel Business Unit, focusing on structuring, drafting, and negotiating contracts for procurement of EPC and construction services, engineered equipment, and other complex commercial transactions. This role requires at least five years of experience in a top law firm supporting the energy and utility industries, with significant experience in drafting and negotiating contracts for power generation equipment and EPC contracts. The ideal candidate will also have experience representing electric utilities and independent power producers. This position could be located in Juno Beach, FL, Houston, TX, or Washington, DC, but remote work from other locations will be considered based on candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as the senior legal advisor to the company and senior management in a functional area or discipline
- Provide legal advice and service on complex legal issues and examine facts and law to determine the best course of action
- Represent the company in litigation, regulatory proceedings, government investigations, and legal transactions
- Ensure compliance with company Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and report any potential legal issues to audit function and senior management
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- degree
- 10+ years of experience in a legal role
- Member in Good Standing of State Bar
