Lead Counsel, Product (Youth) - Exciting Opportunity at Meta!

Meta, a leading technology company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced attorney to join our product counseling legal team as Lead Counsel for our youth users. This role offers a competitive salary of $167,000/year to $233,000/year, along with bonus, equity, and benefits.

As Lead Counsel, you will play a vital role in supporting our product teams and ensuring legal compliance in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will collaborate with various teams within the legal department, as well as cross-functional teams such as product, engineering, marketing, and policy. Key Responsibilities:

- Provide legal risk mitigation strategies for our youth well-being product and engineering teams
- Offer holistic legal advice on various subject areas, including data protection/privacy, content regulation, competition, and consumer protection
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on external communications, policy development, and product launches
- Lead consensus building and coordination with other members of the legal team
- Maintain expertise in youth laws and regulations

Minimum Qualifications:

- . degree (or foreign equivalent) and active membership in at least one . state bar
- 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney at a law firm and/or in-house
- Experience in product or regulatory counseling, consumer protection, and/or privacy

Preferred Qualifications:

- In-house legal experience
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
- Strong prioritization skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience handling projects involving different subject matters and supporting a diverse portfolio of clients
- Familiarity with international legal requirements, particularly in relation to youth privacy and data protection
- Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and time zones
